Baylor Scott & White Health’s (BSWH) mission is achieved through a team that includes many varied proficiencies and experiences. Everyone is an integral part of the team. The standard of conduct includes common respect, understanding, trust and teamwork necessary for effective collaboration. The surroundings should be free of disruptive behaviors. The nursing workplace is erratic and highly energetic (Kim, Nicotera, & McNulty, 2015). We work in the healthcare field were emotions are high. To prevent a conflict, we must first learn to listen (Beunza, 2013). When emotions are high, the receiver must allow the messenger to express verbally concepts, opinions, or perceptions without interruptions. Furthermore, the receiver must understand the
