The medical profession that I chose to research and write about is Nurse Practitioner. According to U.S. News and World Report L.P. a Nurse Practitioner is the number five top job in healthcare. Being a nurse practitioner is a very respectable caring position. Bur a lot of people do not even know what a Nurse Practitioner is. A lot of the time people dismiss them as if they are undereducated and unexperienced. So I wanted to know exactly what their education and knowledge steamed from. According to Nurse Journal a nurse practitioner has a master of science in nursing degree or MSN that allows them to do many of the same things a doctor does, such as diagnosis, prescribing medications, general healthcare examinations and specialized care.
