Family Nurse Practitioner Reflection Paper

The online Family Nurse Practitioner program at Drexel University was the first program that I considered when I decided to continue my education. As a working professional, I value its complete online plan of study that gives me independence so I could continue with my career while getting the education I need to achieve my goal as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I appreciate that Drexel University’s online programs follow the same high academic standards and accreditation as programs on campus, resulting in receiving the same outstanding education. From completion of Drexel University’s BSN ACE program, I obtained exceptional education and valuable skills that I needed to be a Registered Nurse. I have bloomed from being task-oriented and routine-focused novice nursing student to a Registered Nurse that now perceive patient care as interconnected process. I am able to anticipate and manage rapidly changing non-routine events by multi tasking and critical thinking. I apply nursing concepts and practices that I’ve gained from rigorous classes and meticulous clinical experiences from Drexel University. In the past, I’ve had several volunteer opportunities to work with doctors, nurses, and pharmacist where healthcare was limited. I was fortunate to go on medical mission trips and these trips were major factors that had me seek a career in the healthcare field. I find myself having sense of fulfillment and joy in taking care of people who are in need. I believe Drexel University has the education and the merits that I need to fulfill my goal to work as a primary care provider to those who need
