Moreover, the total amount of protein consumed during my 3 day analysis was 107.91. Compared to the protein recommendation of 74.78 grams of day, I am not consuming enough protein. On an average day I consume 37.97 grams of protein, which is significantly under the recommended DRI. The recommended AMDR is 10%-35% of kilocalories. Which is a daily requirement based on 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram body weight (Page 184). During my 3 day analysis my AMDR was 16%, which equals to 144 kcalories consumed.

Although, it contains a high amount of protein, hot pockets are packed with sodium and carbohydrates. On day three I also ate Stouffer’s Chicken Alfredo with 19 grams of protein. This meal contained a lot of protein. However, it contained a lot of sodium 940 mg to be exact. It also contained a lot of carbohydrates that could put me above the recommended RDA. Additionally, I also had Baked Macaroni and Cheese with 13.3 grams of protein on this day. I love baked macaroni and cheese, the amount of protein I gained from it was pretty decent. However, it is high in sodium and it’s not something you should consume if you want to loose
