Haven’t you ever thought to yourself, “What can I do to make a difference in the world?” No well I have, I believe there are many ways a person can impact the world, but the way I am going to impact the world is to become an educator. I dream of becoming an elementary school teacher and sharing my love of learning with my students. It has always been my dream to become a teacher and now I am following that dream at Stetson. Teachers have the most important influence on the world because someone has to teach other people how to do their jobs because it always has to start somewhere. Solomon Ortiz once said, “Education is the key to success in life, and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students.” I believe this quote to be true because education benefits you in a variety of ways such as, providing individuals with opportunities in order to maximize their potential and prepare for a bright future.
Despite the many transitions within my family, I have been strong and determined in reaching my goals. My passion to be an elementary school teacher comes from my previous elementary school teachers that gave me their time and the encouragement to succeed. I felt that their support was a major contribution to my love for learning as well as helping others to learn.
