My Life Is My Coach Essay

Most of us have that one person in our life that has changed us for the better, that person in my life is my coach Jeanna. I began gymnastics when I was 5 years old and Jeanna was my coach from when I started to when I ended at age 17. During those 12 years she taught me so many things that helped during my gymnastics career and things that will help me in the future. Without my coach I would be nowhere near the person I am today and I am very thankful that I have gotten to spend most of my life with such an inspirational person. Jeanna has changed my life because she taught me to never to give up, have self-confidence, and be determined no matter what. Gymnastics isn’t the easiest sport to do and I often got very frustrated with it but Jeanna taught me to never give up. Whenever I was working on a new skill it would take a while to get it consistent, I would get upset and give up most of the time. But, Jeanna always encouraged me and told me if I put my mind to it I can do it no matter how difficult it is. Before I would just give up but since I had my coach to support me it made me not want to give up and to keep trying. This also helps me in my life outside of gymnastics like school. School can be very stressful and there are many times when I just want to give up and not do my homework but since I learned at such a young age from Jeanna that if I try hard enough and don’t give up I can accomplish anything.
