Besides a positive attitude, one of the biggest challenges a gymnast will have to face, is the possibility of becoming injured. Gymnastics is a dangerous sport and it is true that most gymnasts will suffer an injury at some point. By focusing on training and listening carefully to their coach, the danger is minimized. The truth is that many injuries heal quickly and let the gymnast get back to competing before too long. Dwelling on the possibility of injury will only take away the gymnast’s focus and make those injuries even more likely.
Gymnastics opens the door to many other opportunities in life by teaching positive values. Although there are potential dangers in the sport, proper training can minimize their potential.
