Since graduating from high school my dream of obtaining a college education needed to be postponed for quite some time. It became necessary for me to accept early on that my only education option would exist from the school of hard knocks. Although it wasn’t the school of choice; due to life experiences it resulted as the most sensible option. It became easy to justify placing my college education on hold and I utilized every excuse available. The truth is, the more that time passed by, I began to lose confidence in the ability to succeed. A famous quote by Walt Disney states, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” After many years of raising a family and obtaining a successful career, I’m pleased to announce that I finally established the courage to pursue my dream of a college education. Fortunately, it’s never too late to improve and grow one’s confidence level. Obtaining my college education will instill new skills and characteristics that are necessary to overcome challenges and achieve my goals.
