There is this saying by Dwight D. Eisenhower, “Motivation is the art of getting people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it”. When you have a company the workplace has to have motivation. A manager needs to seek and understand how important it is to motivate their employees. When a manager knows how to motivated its employees it can enhanced in: employee satisfaction, loyalty and productivity. According to Cooks, “companies like Google are known for culture of keeping employees happy by offering countless perks like free health and dental benefits, first class dining facilities, on site oil change, dry cleaning, car wash, massage therapy, stylists” (2012).
Google understand motivation because they just don’t motivate by external rewards but also by essential rewards. Having no real hierarchy and tiny work groups allow for more independence (Cook, 2012). Google success rate is a indication of their employees and how they’re more of a friendly culture. Even thought Google knows how to motivate their employees you have some companies who are struggling to keep their employee engage and being productive. Not every company knows how to motivate let alone keep motivation within their employees because they don’t know the main factor to motivate an employee. Motivation is sometime up and sometimes down, reason is; it can work today but change within six months from now.
