Preschool Observation

Entering Preschool is the first step to become successful. Preschool is a place where each child starts growing and learning from each other and the teacher. There are many important factors we learn from Preschool such as having manners, identifying objects, colors, communication, making friends, the alphabets, numbers, colors, recognition, and etc. Going to Preschool gave me the opportunity to become more socialize with one another. Observing a Preschool is different from working inside a classroom. In this essay, I will explain the observation I’ve seen with two children in the classroom in the Children’s Campus.
There are many curriculums I see in the Preschool classroom. I see several children painting in the art center. They are developing the appreciation of the arts through self-expression. In this art center, these children are using the colors blue, red, yellow, and green to create an image. Another curriculum would be Circle time, they gathered together to form a circle at the rug and they listen to the teacher read to them. There is the blocks area where the children build houses with it along with the play house area where they play pretend with the dolls. The curriculum is well organized in the classroom. Children use these materials to have fun and engage with others. Child one was playing with the cash register and counting money pretending to be the cashier while Child two is playing at the sand box area on a sunny afternoon using cups to scoop each cup of sand and playing pretend waterfall. When I was observing Child two, it have made me think back of how I was a kid as well.
