When I go college, I do not want to give up my favorite activities, but rather, build upon established interests and create new ones. Honestly, I do not know all of the activities in which I may participate while attending university. This is not because I do not know what I like; I just that I have not been exposed to these things yet. Although my personality is not fully molded, I actively search for novel and fulfilling experiences relating to music, food, and travel. The outdoor setting of marching band fosters the flashiness and untamed passion required to make an emotional bond with far-away audiences. Each year in my marching band, I embraced the opportunities to learn new show tunes and skills for front ensemble, bass drum, snare drum, and then tenor drums. My love for marching band has influenced my personal musical selections. My favorite band is the funky brasshouse trio, Too Many Zooz. I would love to form a musical group while in college. In addition, I aspire to join the Mighty Sound of Maryland to further develop my musical abilities. …show more content…
Some of my favorite experiences were enjoying a Cannoli in Carlo's Bakery, picking apart frog legs on a cruise ship, and purchasing the tastiest jerk chicken from a native islander in a straw market on Tortola. But I do not always find my favorite options at restaurants. When I feel ambitious, which I often do, I will create a meal at my house. I find that my cooking often unites people. Every year on Christmas Eve, my aunt, my grandmother, and I spend the night creating Polish food staples like Pierogies and Halušky. When the family comes home from midnight mass, we gather around the kitchen table, indulge in the food, and sing our traditional family
