The literacy conference was a great experience. It opens my mind to new ideas and strategies I can use in my classroom. I honestly believe reading is the most important facet of education. It is the basis for all other knowledge to grow. I believe that learning to read well is a key part of being successful in life. Furthermore, when students learn to enjoy reading they will find easier to love learning. The conference brought together great speakers. I was educated and inspired by their ideas. However, I want to focus in one of the speakers, because I agree with the things he said and taught, Steven Layne.
