The LPN/LVN is a seasonal team member and the Nursing Assistant is not organized but willing to work in a team. I will have to use the democratic leadership style mostly with the Nursing assistant. I will have to put him with a participation, decision -making, goal need to be taking place to prepare the nurse. On that situation the nurse in not quite certain with the needs, protocol, and decision-making. By using this skills, I can help generate fresh ideas for the Nurse Assistant. Every second counts and there is no time for discussion. Everyone have to be their own leader in decision-making with little input. In chaotic situations, for all employees regardless the employee is new or seasonal, the leadership role needs to be the same.
The more experience, the less to supervise. Laissez-faire leadership role would do it. However, in that case, the condition in a nursing workplace leadership role changes overtime.
No matter the leadership I take, I must have commitment and the ability to achieve the challenges I will face in the workplace.
