Today I am going to talk about one piece of technology that was made in the 1800s and also talk about the history about the invention. One piece of technology from the early 1800s was the typewriter. The typewriter was invented by Christopher Latham Sholes in 1867. Christopher Latham Sholes was very famous for his invention of the typewriter. Even though that the typewriter was invented back then, I bet that there is still information that you didn't know about the typewriter that you could research. One of the older types of typewriters were not very successful because they were very old and they wrote very slowly.
