Do you have any old technology in your house and you have no clue how it works or what it is? Technology from the 1800s has been around for a long time, and some of the technology that was invented back then is still used today. Maybe you might want to start looking at the technology that you have never seen before and try to see if it works. Today I am going to talk about one piece of technology that was made in the 1800s and also talk about the history about the invention. One piece of technology from the early 1800s was the typewriter. The typewriter was invented by Christopher Latham Sholes in 1867. Christopher Latham Sholes was very famous for his invention of the typewriter. The typewriters were invented because it would help writers so that they could write and also help the business people. The typewriter was a very old type of technology that was used and also invented back then. Even though that the typewriter was invented back then, I bet that there is still information that you didn't know about the typewriter that you could research. One of the older types of typewriters were not very successful because they were very old and they wrote very slowly. Nobody liked the older typewriters because they didn’t want to spend a lot of time typing because it took too long. The newer typewriters that started coming out later were very successful because they typed faster.
