I witnessed both the employee engagement and quality indicator scores rise as a result of the accomplished leadership team who used appreciative inquiry and transformational skill to improve organizational communication, team morale, and patient safety concerns (Grossman & Valiga, 2017). The management team practiced the philosophy described by Grossman and Valiga (2017) where all team members were encouraged to let their voices be heard and participate in the multidisciplinary plans of care utilized for each patient.
