In the world that we live in requires some kind of growth and development. The question is in regard to which approach is best. The approaches in the reading are as follows: Kaizen, Six Sigma and the last approach which is a master list of improvement strategies. Kaizen is a Japanese business that has a continuous improvement in working practices. In the reading, it states that Kaizen means good change. Kaizen is a tool that is used for lean manufacturing that makes an improvement in the safety of the workplace. Kaizen has a focus on the changes that are made daily which are small. Kaizen is a change that is made for the better. In Japanese, it is an everyday use that is used. No matter what the situation may be large or either small an improvement …show more content…
The reading stated that the Six Sigma was a development that was made for production that is high as an example Motorola (Goetsch & Davis, 2014). Six Sigma has a duty to service many organization. Six Sigma includes many different benefits such as the cost reduction, productivity improvement, customer retention, market share growth, cycle time reduction, culture change and product and service development. If it was me that had to decide on which approach is best I would go with the Kaizen approach because this approach seems as if it is much better and is simplifies for one to have a great understanding on what exactly is occurring and the major steps to take during the approach.
