Social media/internet reveals emotions and encourages individuals to discuss topics that they are not used to talking about. “Social media can be a source of news and a valuable tool for journalism”(Tremblay). Twitter, for example, online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets”, is used by teens who likes to get updated on the latest news and trends. Online social network sites enable people to connect with others who share their interests. Social media users can post news, photographs, videos, and other content and share this material with others. A survey by the Pew Research Center in 2014 found that 74 percent of online adults used social networking sites. Facebook was the most popular, with 71 percent of online adults using it (Gale Learning). Society thinks that Social Media and the internet are most commonly used by children. This supports that adults use social media as well, helping them express themselves through the Internet. Advancements in technology have greatly increased our living standards. In conclusion, technology impacts on our daily lives. Society uses technology to learn; makes teaching and education easier and communicate through the use of the Internet. Technology has greatly helped us to become more efficient therefore increasing our productivity. It has helped us to discover more things as well as learn. Also helped us a great deal to be able to save on many resources such as time and money and these are great benefits that cannot be ignored. With the developments in technology, we may be able to enjoy all the pricey gadgets in life but at the cost of losing its priceless
