Technology has really shaped the lives of many people today. It has helped people through faster communication, easier ways to obtain information, and advanced health technology. Technology has changed so many lives in the past century. The people who have dedicated their life to improving technology have really shaped the world. However, sometimes technology use can be abused such as limiting social interaction, distraction from productive work, and could be an unreliable source. Technology could be a both good and bad thing in this world. Bradbury has really demonstrated through his work that technology is helpful but could affect people if they use it too much. In the story, There Will Come Soft Rains, there had just been an atomic blast and a house still stands. It functions very well but it’s very futuristic. It has functions such as telling time, making breakfast, and cleaning around the house. By this century, almost everything is done by the house. The house is basically like a robot. Humans no longer have to do basic tasks and could focus on things such as getting to work on time.
