The author’s objective was to analyze how a coaching model can impact communication skills, which can improve the relationship between physicians and their patients. The author suggested that the use of this particular coaching model would positively change the way in which a physician communicated with their patients and co-workers. This study involved 31 health professionals being examined and monitored by a consultant as they all adopted the behaviors associated with the coaching model. The consultant monitored these individuals until they had specifically achieved an amount of success in regards to their communication skills.
