Honor English Class Analysis

Greetings Mrs. Judy,

I am excited for being in your honors English class this first semester. I am looking forward to excelling in your class and continuing the second semester with Mrs. Williams-Korbel. My sophomore year at Saugus seems to look like a great one!

I love challenging myself in school taking the most difficult courses available. I am usually a very quiet and polite student who loves to listen to the instructor and complete all assignments on time and precisely. Most of my peers see me as a kind, honest, smart and caring person who can be trusted in the any time of need.

Kindness is always how I would like to be treated, but I will still continue to treat even the most disrespectful with kindness. The easiest way to get along with me is to listen to my fellow peers’ critiques and compliments. I dislike

I consider myself as a proficient writer because I have placed at or above average on many state writing samples. My favorite topics to write about are the World Wars, the military, technology and the universe.

The strengths I possess in English are writing, grammar and analyzing different works of literature, except poems. My weaknesses are advanced spelling and writing artistic forms of literature. I would love to include my weaknesses to my strengths sooner than later. Acquiring an “A” in this class is my goal, so that I’m able to advance to higher English eleven my junior year.

This year I am currently taking AP Euro, H. geometry, H. English, engineering, AP physics, and law and criminal justice. I am challenging myself to the most difficult classes Saugus has to offer me, as a sophomore. Next year I’ll be taking classes at College of the Canyons, including foreign language, mathematics and possibly many others. This year and the years to come are going to be pretty

Preventing the immoral actions while teaching the trust, the school had to maintain but fully explain about the honor codes. From the few schools, there was an already disputation towards the honor codes such as ‘students did not fully understand the role of an honor code; many saw it as another rule to obey“(Source B) which would lead to elimination of honor code, simultaneously loss of both students and school’s trust. English 126 is a writing course in which we focus on literature. Through this course we analyzed and discussed short stories and poems specifically. This allowed me to develop my ability to analyze literature overall and be able to imply it to a new context. This skill is practiced through our formal and informal essays in which we write about our understanding and views on the topics we discuss. Peer review and workshopping also was an important factor in developing my writing as you can hear from multiple people their opinion on how your essay is progressing.…

Before this course, I did not know grammar well, and what I did know I did not fully understand. Yet, due to taking the course, I learned more about the structure of the English language, and can use grammar better than I did before. For instance, the first three major assignments were filled with missing comas, verb-tense misuses, and run-on sentences. Now, I may still make mistakes, but I know why I have made them. In other English courses, I had grammar homework and reading assignments that, often, seemed to be busy work, but with this course, I did not think that was the case.…

    1) Honestly, I believe that my writing in this class reveals that I am not a great writer and I am not fluent in English, at all. Even though I have passed the California English (or ESL) standard test for English learner or students that have English as a second language, however, I am still not very proficient in the language. For example, I have a difficult time pronouncing the plurals when I read something out loud and I still continue to make simple grammar mistakes in my writing. Furthermore, my recent writing assignments have been improved, thanks to Paper Rater. Additionally, I am very surprised and proud at the same time to think that I can keep up with the high honor expectations in an honor English class.…

It feels like so long ago when I first began this English course. I can remember being so excited about the class topic, racism and social justice, which I felt that I had a lot of passion for. Little did I know that I would have to gather up even more enthusiasm and passion to be able to continue writing papers about the same topic all semester long. This course has tested my endurance, and at many times my patience, and for that I am thankful because I know in the end, it has made me a better writer. Despite various minor challenges this semester I believe that I have put in the hard work that it takes and I have achieved the course goals and will complete this class feeling fulfilled and accomplished.…

Ms. Fox's college English class is hard because it’s a lot of work. A lot of work means multiple things to do each week such as reading and writing every week for the entire semester. According to Fox's syllabus, students can expect about 4 hours of homework each week. Four hours for one class is a lot because students may have other classes and jobs each week. Juggling and making time to do the work is what makes the class hard.…

Describe Yourself As A Writer I’ve come to realize that after years of writing papers, I’m actually a better writer than I give myself credit for. I’ve noticed over time that I’ve advanced in how I structure my paragraphs, however, not so much with my sentences. It’s like making a cake look delicious at first glance with frosting and decorations, but then you take a bite and there 's way too much sugar or it 's overcooked in the inside. My strength in writing includes: using better words to describe what I’m writing about, spelling complex words, creativity, and passion.…

When I started this year off I had no idea how hard the curriculum actually was for an English class at the college level. This made my under-preparedness show in much of my early works and my understanding of upper level novels. Once into the class, I could see myself actually growing as a student in all aspects of school not just this class. Although my journey through this class has not been the easiest I have found the benefits of this higher level of thinking which allows for much brighter horizon in more advanced schooling and further into my career field of chose. Even though I may not have started out as strongly as I may have liked to I have found a place in the class and manage to continue to surprise myself with what I can produce…

How to become a better English Student Have you ever wondered how you’re going to do in a class and the result you end up with? Well that’s my exact thought when signing up for English 111. I had already taken this course once and things didn’t go as well as I thought they would. Let’s just say English is not my favorite subject and has never been.…

I remembered when I looked at my schedule in August and I saw this class, I was nervous because I’m not that good at writing or expressing my ideas on papers. My grammars are really bad too. I thought that I would have a lot of trouble with this class, because I had some bad experience in my English class from high school. But when I met Lauren, she was a lot different than what I thought. She was nice, friendly, and I can tell from the first class that she’s a fun and understandable person.…
