This quote demonstrates why we should work to work to prevent gun control legislature from passing. Some say that we should embrace gun control in order to protect our self with safe submission. A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. As stated In the Second amendment. This quote is our right to bear arms. This is not because we are to be able to hunt but rather to protect ourselves from our enemies foreign or otherwise. Another quote which is commonly attributed to Isoroku Yamamoto states "You cannot invade the mainland United States. As there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." This is the point of the second amendment. The United States is virtually unassailable due to the fact that its military power is not solely restricted to its own army but it also includes a large portion of its citizens as well due to the sheer firepower within the country.
