The second amendment is very important to American society because it protects our right to possess a firearm. This rule was made very quickly since it occurred during the Revolutionary War, which meant we had nothing to protect ourselves. There are terrorist groups like Al Qaeda who threaten the lives of Americans every day. This right gives us the right to protect ourselves from the criminals in our world.
