Grenache Corporate Social Responsibility

Most of the semester we have been sMost of the semester we have been seeing how corporation ethics and sustainability are questioned by the people. When I watch the corporate video it was interesting how these huge companies exploit third world countries by paying little for producing their product in a short time as compared to the profit they get when they sell their products in their stores. Indeed, this is not a good example for small companies, this article was interesting because it gives a clear example of how small businesses can make difference among big corporations. The difference between corporations and small businesses is that small businesses do not exploit their employees as much. Instead, they take care and motivate them to keep doing a better job.

This article is about a restaurant name “Grenache restaurant” located outside of Manchester. This is not a common restaurant what makes them different is that they do not discriminate. The owner Mike Jennings said that, “Here at Grenache, we employ staff based on experience, knowledge and passion... NOT the color of their skin, or the way they look, how many tattoos they have, their dress size, religious beliefs or illness. I have been paying attention to ideas, article that related to ethics and sustainability. This article reminds me of another aspect of ethics, like how people with autism should have the same opportunities. In this case Andy has been the only resource financially supporting his family since his mother suffers from Alzheimer's. People with autism need the support of bosses like Mike, just because they behave differently, as long as they have the skills, this should not be a reason to discriminate against
