Before Toms, the founder, Blake Mycoskie, was a regular man from Texas who was a natural entrepreneur and started five other companies. He was successful in a laundering business that he later sold. The difference in him was that he is passionate about the new generation and its capability to make the world a better place. In creating this new company, Blake did many things differently. The start of the company had a different and unusual start when compared to other companies. It all started during a trip to Argentina in 2006. Blake saw how hard it was for children growing up without any shoes. This inspired him to create a company that revolutionized the way people gave. Toms has created over 700 jobs for people in poverty by having workers produce the shoes or harvest different products such as beans. Toms finds many ways to give back to the workers families and their community by giving them things and abilities that are essential to life in where they live. “You buy Toms Roasting Co. The people that Toms sources its coffee beans from are the regions that are getting a safer access to safe water to drink and bathe in. As well as helping the community, the people are getting paid for the work they do. Farmers are guaranteed the best prices for their crafts and products. The employees are getting what they deserve for pay and help them with their individual lives. There is also equality in that Toms provides equal jobs for the males and females in the community. There is fairness so that there is a balance between males and females to be able to have a job and get paid. Although some people may object to have other countries create the products, having other create the shoes and harvest beans and other products creates jobs, pays families, and gives the whole communities benefits.
