Allow me to begin by expressing that I regret my actions that have led to me writing this letter. In the fall of 2014 I decided to begin my college career; however, this later proved to be a mistake for multiple reasons. My parents were tired of my behavior and found it necessary to kick me out of my childhood home. With no where else to go, I moved in with the source of my problem: my girlfriend. Not long afterward, I was fired from my job. As my grades began to decline I decided to stop attending my classes. I needed a wake up call. One night my girlfriend came home crying and admitted that she had cheated and contracted chlamydia from another man. It was a surreal feeling. I immediately rushed to the emergency room to confirm that I had the infection, the test came out positive. I had no where to go, I was penniless, alone, and heartbroken. I admit that I am guilty and I take full responsibility for the terrible grades I received when I attended CF; I have learned from my mistakes and am willing to give everything towards my education. I sacrificed more than I can write in words, just so I could further my education. I have grown to be proud of my accomplishments and it is now time to put fourth all that I have learned from my experiences. I am begging for forgiveness and a chance to prove that I am the man that I say I am. I have a clear view of my future and I know where I want my education to take me. My past laid out upon a table. My GPA, my resume, my test scores. An unfamiliar man whom I met for the first time was frowning, turning around in his creaky red chair, while hurriedly trying to contextualize my life with just a few pieces of paper. For 15 minutes, he sat there, unhappy, tapping his foot, analyzing what I’ve “done” with my life. He took a sip of water and suggested that I go to community college.…

I did not realize the struggle I was going to have just trying to be accountable for myself during my senior year. My daily schedule consisted of work, soccer, managing the high school boy’s hockey team, volunteer work, spending time with my high school friends and taking college courses. I took the most challenging classes through Anoka-Ramsey Community College, thinking that like high school these would be the best for me.…
