As my graduation date approaches, I find myself making many decisions regarding my future. Which University will I attend? What career path do I want to take? How am I going to pay for my education? Will I have to be a part time student and work my way through college, or will I earn enough scholarships to get me through the 4 years ahead? All of these things can make any high school senior stressed. To make my senior year more relaxed, I would like to make the decision of which university to attend by the end of the year. My top candidates are the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of North Texas. While both the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of North Texas are great schools, I want to decide which would be a better fit for me after taking into account location, the total cost of attending, and the quality of the education program that each university offers.
Family is very valuable to me, therefore, it would be ideal to be as close to home as possible. Due to this, I am considering the location of both universities before making my final decision. UTA is located in the southwest side of downtown Arlington, Tx, which is about 27 miles from my house ("701 S Nedderman Dr, Arlington, TX "). A round trip from UTA to my house would take 88 minutes (without traffic). In comparison, UNT is located in Denton, Tx, which is only 15.6 miles away from home ("1155 Union Circle Drive, Denton, TX"). This translates into a 38 minute round trip, which…
