“Family is the most important thing in the world (Princess Diana)”. I grew up with the concept that family was everything. Friends come and go, but family will always be there. I grew up in an environment that was very close knitted and no matter what happened, I always knew my family was going to be there. During sporting events or school awards, I always had someone there for me. I’m truly fortunate to have two parents who supported me, loved me, and made sure I had everything I needed to succeed. My parents have made me the person I am today and I thank God every day for giving me them. My mother is my rock, best friend, and means the world to me. She is warm and responsive, but was good at knowing when to be supportive and when to let me operate on my own. My relationship with her was always comfortable and I’m so lucky to have her. She is the one person in the world that I know will always be there for me no matter what. I have such a wonderful relationship with her and I’m truly lucky. Even though she worked full time, she always made sure she was there for me and I was her first priority. As a child, I was always attached to her. I hated being away from her and frankly, that’s still true today. Going away to college was probably the most difficult thing I have ever had to do because I felt like a piece of me was being taken away. I was the type of child who stayed home on Friday nights to have pizza and watch movies with my parents. I was always home and that’s…
