A mom and a dad can be more than just the two people that brought you into this world. They can be the ones that help you to flourish and conquer this world, which is exactly what my parents do. Middle School is rough, and I have absolutely no idea how I would get through it without my madre and padre. In 5th grade, all students got the chance to try out for the JV basketball team. I didn’t know what to expect going into the tryout - I had never tried out for any school team before. All my classmates were training and practicing hard, while I overlooked it, thinking all because I was athletic, I would get on the team. I went to tryouts with confidence, but that quickly decreased when I got the email saying I hadn’t made the team. I was pretty disappointed, however, my parents helped me through my disappointment. This terrible defeat in my life turned into a victory and a learning opportunity. The next year, I trained hard and was fully prepared for tryouts. In result, I made the team with my parent’s encouragement to work hard for the things that I want in life. I feel so lucky that my parents are there for me during the hards times in my life and love me no matter

Along my journey in school I remember all the sacrifices my parents did for me and my siblings. As I got older I taught myself and tried extremely hard in school not to be a burden to my parents who were always worrying.…
