Evaluating Staff Meetings

At the staff meetings, specific plans are devised and tailored to help foster progress in clients who are not progressing or progressing to slowly. Such plans reflect the fact that the more clients who pass through the program and eventually move to either independent or supportive living, the more successful is the organization. The Administrator inspires and motivates each client to focus on his/her condition and set goals for where he/she wants to see him/herself in a year. The Administrator encourages staffs to set goals for themselves in terms of how many clients they want to move to supportive living, but preferably independent living, within a specific time. He comes to work early and leaves late. He looks out for his staffs in many ways, such as: fighting with Catholic Charity for more raise for his staffs; being willing to approve changes to a staff's schedule to accommodate for his/her school schedule; and avoiding the trap of siding with staff over clients and vice versa when there is a staff-client issue. The Administrator institutes a staff recognition day once a year in order to recognized the contributions of staffs, and to give awards to those staffs who have gone the extra mile in terms of their job duties. He, the Administrator, emphasizes the absolute necessity for professionalism at the work place, and he iterates how important it is for the staffs to be a role model to the clients, especially in light of the fact that they (the clients) rely on them (the staffs) for help and guidance on how to live a
