It was Ellie’s and Lexi’s senior year at Birkwood High School. Both girls have been best friends since they were in third grade. As they grew up, both had different relationships, both played different sports, and both participated in different clubs, but that didn’t stop them from hanging out all the time. Lexie was always jealous at the fact that Ellie was more popular in everything she did. Ellie is a straight A student, who has a 4.5 GPA, she is a starter on the soccer team, starter on the basketball team, hold records for 1,000 points in basketball, state champion in hurdles in track, President of every club she is in, has a relationship with Jake, a starter on the mens soccer team, and has a scholarship to Duke University. This is unusual because Ellie always answers her phone. Lexie went on to tell the Tarn family that she has been trying to reach her as well. She said that Ellie went home two days ago and hasn’t heard a word since. Immediately, the Tarn’s and Lexie’s family called the police and they sent out a missing report. While police were on the scene, it was getting late. Lexie was in her bedroom laying with her windows down, curtains closed, and lights all off. When she rolled over in her bed, there was a silhouette of Ellie Tarn. Lexie got up panicking, thinking “Oh my God, and I high?” Lexie rubbed her face saying this is just a dream, but it wasn’t. Ellie was there that night questioning why did Lexie murder her. Lexie couldn 't sleep with the fact that Ellie was with her all night haunting her and questioning why it was her that was murdered. The next morning Lexie felt as if she was a completely different person. Around lunch time, she was going with her family to the scene that the police had found some serious clues which dealt with a murder. All of the first responders were at the scene. Policemen were questioning random people that walk through this area. Crime scene tape was all around the bushes that Lexie had placed the body. Search dogs sniffing all around and Lexie felt as if the dogs were getting close to her because of her scent. She didn’t really think much of that fact that her scent was on the body when she killed and buried her. Her face starting to blush and sweat dripping out of her, she knew that she couldn’t keep this a secret any longer.
