Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC) Standards Development

The Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC) Standards are provided as a set of research based standards that give future administrators a set of guidelines to use in their future career as a school administrator. These standards will afford future administrators the ability to become strong proficient leaders through their use and implementation. The courses I have participated in were based on these standards and have proved invaluable while completing the requirements for this Specialist in Educational Leadership degree. The ELCC standards will provide the guiding principles needed in achieving school and district goals within the school.
ELCC Standard 1.0 Standard 1.0 focuses on vision through the facilitation, development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a shared district vision of learning (National Policy Board for Educational Administrators, 2011). The collection of data is incorporated to help identify goals, assess effectiveness, and implement district goals necessary for improvement and evaluation.

Data was gathered and a committee used the results to look at best practices that would fit the needs of our higher level students. This assignment provided me insight on how to deliver a curriculum plan improving instruction to our higher tier of students. The research gathered provided insight as to how we could become more proficient through altering our instructional delivery through differentiation.
