As I move forward in my career as an educational leader, my aspiration is to emulate the characteristics of a successful leader. Success in education can be measured every day in every school when the beliefs of the leader are reflected in the students and the staff. I aspire to be an innovative leader that motivates people to be courageous and open-minded to tackle the hard tasks. Furthermore, I hope to be a transformative leader that becomes a role-model to their peers by doing rather than saying. I will become this leader by being consistent with my communication skills, making responsible decisions that display my integrity and always keeping in mind that student achievement is my number one purpose. I believe that high impact effect instruction is a key factor to student achievement. Methods and models of instruction are always changing and evolving. An effective educational leader will need to be a resource for educators to go to for guidance and support. With my success as a highly effective teacher, I feel that I can now grow in the area of instructional mentoring and support as an educational leader. One strategy that I will be using to improve in this area is using literature as a learning tool for research and guidance. In an effort to expand my educational library, I will read effective instructional guides such as, High-Impact Instruction by Jim Knight. Furthermore, by enriching my reading choices I will begin to expand my knowledge in key areas of instruction and support. The second strategy that I will be using to grow in the area of instructional resource is by attending trainings and webinars that focus solely on bettering instruction in my school. As our students evolve into 21st century learners, our instructional models and methods must evolve as well. It is my belief that by attending new trainings and webinars I can learn new resources that will allow me to train my staff members and empower them to master their
