The nurse was only following the rules and the instructions his boss gave her. The patient was not under his arrest so he didn’t have his consent to take his blood considering he was unconscious. The other ruler she was trying to respect was “Safeguard the patient’s dignity, the right to privacy and the confidentiality of patient information(Nursing Conduct in Pennsylvania).” This act protects the patient from any harm being done to him without his say so. Chuck, Yesterday Electrocon received a request from Jacob Lien of Ulteig for support in conjunction with work being done for Rochester Public Utilities. In reviewing your account, we believe there may be a violation of the CAPE license agreement occurring regarding the use of your CAPE license by a third-party. Your agreement does not allow your non-employee consultants to use CAPE outside your own premises. If Jacob is working at your office, there is no violation. If he is working outside of your facility, then Ulteig will need to acquire their own license for CAPE or Rochester Public Utilities will need to add Consulting Rights to your maintenance agreement.…

Contracts For our business, Karma Kaffeine, we will need to implement several contracts. For instance, we will be required to form a lease contract when we decide to rent out property for our business. The leasehold interest we will engage in is Periodic Tenancy, which is the automatic renewal of the contract for another rental period unless formally and properly terminated (Holcomb, 2015). Our business has chosen to rent property because it will save us money if we are required to change locations due to unforeseen circumstances. In addition to forming a lease contract, we will need to form contracts with our suppliers and distributors to ensure our products will be delivered promptly.…

After choosing scenario number three, I determined there was no conflict of principles or values in regards to me making the right decision. The nurse was in violation of hospital policy and in violation of HIPPA, which requires me to report the situation for patient safety. I would report what I saw to the charge nurse, instead of approaching the senior nurse and possibly having the situation become hostile. The ANA provision that mainly applies to the situation would be provision 3.1, which is the protection of the rights of privacy and confidentiality of the patient. The nurse violated this provision by looking in the chart of the patient in order to learn why the patient sought care.…

Charleston, South Carolina, the jewel of the south. A town that time has yet to permeate, where horse drawn carriages still serve as a mode of transportation, resulting in over 4.5 million visitors every year (“In Charleston, S.C., Resistance to Cruise Ships”). At one point those horse drawn carriages would have toted around rich white slave owners, today they tote around any paying customer. Charleston has used its charm to intrigue the world for decades, that's why for the past four years “Travel + Leisure (2014) has named the city a leading travel destination in the U.S. and Canada, and for the second conservative year, the city was ranked first in magazine’s poll” (William). Kathryn, as a new store manager, needs to gain the confidence and trust of her department heads and sales associates. Part of accomplishing this task is by providing her employees the opportunity to communicate with her through an open-door policy when it comes to questions or concerns with tasks. Kathryn also needs to become better acquainted with the employees and, to me, the best way is to be on the sales floor and participate in day to day operations. The purpose of this is two-fold: showing her employees she is approachable and that she is knowledgeable of stores products and practices. To enhance and reinforce the lines of communication, store meetings should be scheduled.…
