Dr. Hillhouse stated that the students of the month for Core Values will be recognized at the school board today. She also stated that two classes were recognized with ice cream parties for their outstanding behaviors in the cafeteria.
Also, Math, Reading and Social Studies scored are published and fourth grade showed gains from 34 points to 60 points.
She stated that the ESSAC budget will be available at the next meeting.
In addition, Report Cards Night will be held the week after October 30. On that night, parents will be presented with the upcoming tutoring schedule.
SIP Plan and PIP Plan
The PIP will be uploaded and accessible on the schools website. As an included position in the SIP, a Community Involvement Specialist had been interviewed for the vacant position.
In addition, The Friday First Parent Workshop will take place Friday, October 16, 2015 at 9:00a.m. A parent questioned the type of information that will be given out in the meeting. Washington questioned the use of the parking lot in back of the cafeteria. Dr. Hillhouse stated that the area will be designated as the middle school spill out area.
Mrs. Sale stated that the Jump Start Reading has imitated the National Reading Champaign program. All primary teachers were given books and asked to begin reading the same time to break a national record.

Third grade student, Kelvin Mays, placed third in the Rickya Issac Writing Contest.
The next ESSAC meeting will be held November 18, 2015 at 2:30p.m. in the media center.
