Domestic Violence has to do with abusive actions between people who are in a relationship. Domestic Violence happens when one partner feels like they have to gain power to control the other person they are in a relationship with.. Domestic Violence it is very dangerous that it can be very difficult for a person to get away from their partner. Domestic Violence can happen in so many ways that it can be physical violence, sexual violence, emotional violence and psychological violence ( Gale, 2014).
According to the U.S Center for Disease control and prevention they said that in United States there has been about 1,000 deaths and two million injuries annually of domestic violence (Gale,2014). That is a lot of people who suffer of domestic violence

The majority of ages that are at risk when it comes to domestic violence are ages 16 to 24. In the article it has said that women who are minorities and people who are separated from each other and homesexual women are more likely to go through domestic violence. Study have shown that there has been 60% of bisexual women and 40% of lesbian women have been abused by their significant other, while the other 35% of women were victims of domestic violence (Gale,2014). In this article it talks about how people who are victims of abuse relationship it is very hard for them to not leave from their relationship. The reason why is very hard for them to leave the relationship is because they are in fear that something is going to happen to them. A lot of times this can happen to women who have childrens they feel like if the childrens father is abusive they do not want to file criminal charges against the father because they do not want to lose their childrens. A lot of times there a lot of women who are in relationships and feel as if they can not leave from the marriage even if the guy is abusive because of financial issues they rely on the guy that they feel as if they do not have options. (Gale,2014).
