This psychological disability can lead to a controlling nature. Therefore, this controlling nature can cause this person to become unstable and lash out during certain situations that they are not in charge of. This response is extreme to most, but from their perspective this is how they overcome being put down from their always-right mentality. Domestic violence is never acceptable, but if it is a result of a behavioral disorder, it is their second nature. One would also have to keep in mind that their family background can play into effect. Although it may not be a direct result of poor parenting, a poor childhood may cause some of these issues. Despite the fact that our idea of home should be some cozy warm sense of security, there are people out there who do not get to say the same. Some children may not necessarily leave their house in bruises, but a harsh living environment can cause the same emotional pain as it would physical pain.
