There are approximately 20 people per minute who are physically abused by their partner which is over 10 million victims. Every day there are three women killed by former or current partner. One in every four women are victims of “severe” violence in their lifetime. One in three women are victims of some kind of abuse and one in seven have been stalked to the point of not feeling safe. Statistics show that women between 18- 24 years old are at higher risk. One in fifteen children have been exposed to violence and 90% are witnesses to the violence (Huffington Post).
