Even though dogs and cats are both popular pets, they have vastly different characteristics that require owners to deal with them in different ways. For example, cats and dogs have tails. Even though they have tails, they use them in different ways. Cats use their tails for balance. They also use their tails to communicate with other living things. Dogs use their tails to show emotion. If dogs are scared they will tuck their tails under their legs. When dogs are happy they will wag their tails in a fast motion. Cats and dogs also have four legs, four paws, and fur. The difference between cat's and dog's paws are their nails. Cats have very sharp nails that go in and out of their paw. Owners have the choice to get their cats declawed. A dog's nails are always showing, and owners should get them cut frequently. The most popular pets in the world are cats and dogs. People who own cats and dogs usually give them a name. They also can give them treats. When owning a cat or dog they usually like to play. Most owners have toys for their pets to chew or run around with. Cats and dogs can be so intelligent and loyal, but they do have needs, and they also need attention. Dogs can be much bigger than cats. There are a numerous amount of breeds of both, but cats are usually small and dogs can be small, medium, or large. owners can take their dog on a walk, but owners can't take a cat on a walk without receiving weird looks. Another thing is dogs can be trained way easier than cats. Besides potty training. Cats use a litter box and owners usually don't have to train them to do so. Owners have to clean the litter box every week, so it doesn't smell up the house, and the cat can have a clean place to do its business. People who own dogs hopefully have them go outside to use the bathroom. Some people clean it up with a pooper scooper, but other owners just leave
