Dogs versus Cats At one point of our lives, we all have considered getting a pet; the most popular household pets are cats and dogs. Now some prefer cats and some prefer dogs, others, exotic looking beauties and some like them all! No matter what you’re into, everyone has something that really attracts them to a certain type of animal. Not everyone will agree, because this is nothing more than opinion.
So, for those of you who are interested in choosing between a dog and a cat here are some options to consider before taking a dog or cat home. Before doing so, ask yourself what are your options on the two?
A pet requires your attention they need to be fed, watered, sheltered, groomed and properly trained. It’s a great idea they see a veterinary at least 4 times a year. But before getting a pet find out what you’re getting into because for the next ten years your attention will be towards your pets. Cats have the life expectancy of twelve to twenty five years. Dog’s life expectancy is seven to twenty years. When it comes to loneliness cats can be left alone during the day. A dog can be left alone during the day if necessary, but usually requires attention throughout the day. When it comes to protecting its owners the cat does not protect their owners. Some dogs are protective of their owners. The energy level of a cat is that cats are pretty much lazy and can sleep up to sixteen hours a day. Dogs are pretty active throughout the day. Dogs sleep ten hours throughout the day. Cats are good with children. Some dogs are okay with children but can be fragile if handled roughly. The hunting ability of a cat is that cats have hunting abilities to hunt animals like birds snakes and mouse. Dogs have weaker instincts to hunt. It takes one to two weeks to train a puppy. For a cat all you have to do is train it to use the litter
