After I read the 7 habits book, I started to know that I don’t actually have an appropriate balance among the various aspects of my life (family, friends, work, and so forth). I started to know this as I read the RBA (relationship bank account) pages. I came to know that about me because in the RBA section, RBA deposits and RBA withdrawals, I read the RBA deposits and I didn’t fit into all of them, but as I read the RBA withdrawals I came to know that I fitted into almost everything like Break promises, Talk too much, and Keep to yourself. I always do these kind of stuff to my friends, peers, and my best friends which makes it harder to keep up with my relationships. In the habit 4 worksheet, I had a lot of situations that relates to win- lose and lose- win attitude which I could have easily changed to a win- win situation, but I didn’t…

Teen dating should be discouraged because of the amount of peer pressure and the higher risks associated with it. To begin with, in the article “Teen Dating Doomed to Fail,” the author claims that teen boys often feel pressure to have sex which “may result in boys coercing girls… to have sex when they are not ready”(6). Thus, teens who date can be forced into something they don’t want to do showing immaturity. In order to help prevent peer pressure from spreading, teens should not form romantic relationships until later in life. One such example is a poll in which “62 per cent of women claimed that technology interfered with time spent with their partner and almost one third of respondents said their boyfriend has looked at his smartphone while they were talking. One quarter ever said their partner has been known to compose texts during face-to-face conversations” (“Are You 'in Love' with Your SMARTPHONE? 75% of Women Admit Devices Are Ruining Their Relationships”). In simpler terms, technology, especially cell phones, subtract from those important, intimate moments in a relationship where attention to the other person is vital. As Sarah Coyne explains from a Brigman Young University Study, “‘By allowing technology to interfere with or interrupt conversations, activities, and time with romantic partners - even when unintentional or for brief moments - individuals may be sending implicit messages about what they value most, leading to conflict and negative outcomes in personal life and relationships’”…

The clinical sexual history interview was particularly challenging because I chose to interview my husband of 17 years. Perhaps my own discomfort highlighted some of the cringe worthy moments during the 60 minute interview, including asking about the first time he had intercourse. The anxiety made me question if I truly wanted to know the answer to the sample intake questions. After all, I can still hear my grandmother’s voice a few minutes before my wedding telling me, “lo que no fue en tu ano no es tu dano/ what was not in your time is not your harm,” meaning I must not to worry or ponder about my husband’s previous relationships or sex partners.…

Infidelity in relationships has always been a universal problem and many researches have tirelessly focused their findings on this topic. However, there is little research done on whether or not infidelity is a cause or an effect of poor relationship quality in both dating and marital relationships. Because attitudes towards cheating in dating relationships and extramarital sex (EMS) continue to be negative, further and more specific research regarding why these actions occur, when ( before or after the relationship’s quality becomes poor), and how to prevent infidelity in a relationship need to be addressed. According to the Associated Press’s Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, 57% of men admit to committing infidelity in any relationship…
