Data Collection Plan
A structured data collection plan will be utilized to address the variables of interest that was addressed through the framework. This plan includes self-report includes self-report questionnaires that applied Likert scale to measure medication adherence, Patient-APRN Communication and other behavioral aspects. In addition, a retrospective review of the medical record of ED visits and number of admissions per year to compare the before and the after test. Both questionnaires will be adapted to an electronic version that could be filled through mHealth. Moreover, a statistical analysis will be conducted to measure the frequency of Patient-APRN and the objective measures of utilizing the Medication Event Monitoring System (MEMS 6TrackCap; AARDEXCorporation, Union City, CA).

To elaborate, a self-report questionnaire on the Quality of Physician–Patient Interaction (QQPPI) in Appendix 2-a will be administered to measure the enabling factors of the Patient-APRN relationship. This questionnaire includes 14 questions which investigate communication styles and information were conveyed by the HCP. Items would be scored according to the Likert scale as 1=”I DO NOT AGREE”, 2 = ‘‘I PARTLY AGREE’’, 3 = ‘‘I AGREE ‘‘, 4 = ‘‘I STRONGLY AGREE’’ and 5 = ‘‘I FULLY AGREE’’ (Bieber, Mueller, Nicolai, Hartmann, & Eich, 2010).
