Cultural Diversity In The Nursing Field Essay

In the nursing field it is very beneficial to have the knowledge of many different cultures. Being aware of other people’s needs and values should be place in the top of a list of requirements for up and coming health care givers. There should be a requirement for hospitals to hire a diverse group of nurses. Nurses are the ones that are the closest to the patients, which makes it mandatory for nurses to have the knowledge of all the different cultures. Having different cultures contribute in the health field would be very beneficial for patients in the United States, for the reasons that there is an increase in cultural diversity, and the quality of Patient care will improve. In recent decades the United states has had a population boom from a variety of cultures coming from all over the world. In states like Florida and Texas, there is a whole market that the majority of the population are Hispanics. Since the increase of population, health care specialists should start to get ready for increased amount of diverse communities.
