It was a warm Saturday morning in Brooklyn, New York. The sun was shining and it was the middle of the summer. The streets were crowded with all kinds of people from the ones who lived there to the tourists. The loud noises of the construction that is always going on to the tracks of the subway going thump thump thump. Then Ramon saw her. She had her purse on the railing next to her as she was talking to another woman. He was not gonna let this chance slid so he made a break for it. He snatched the purse and ran as fast as he could across the street. He was lucky that he did not get hit by a car. The woman was too old to chase him herself so she cried for help. “Stop, Thief!” By the time anyone noticed someone had her purse, Ramon was gone …show more content…
He was going to run across the Brooklyn botanic garden, along yankee stadium because there was a game that was about to start, then through Macombs Dam Park and he'll be gone. He heard the cop yell from the top of his lungs “Stop! Police!”. But this did not slow down Ramon, it only made him faster. Ramon thought he had lost him when going through the Botanic Garden but he was still after him. Ramon thought for sure that he is going to get away at Yankee Stadium. He was right. When he got to Macombs Dam Park, he could not see the policeman anymore, but he could still hear him. Ramon ran towards the fence and jumped onto it. Right as he was about to get over BANG! He was out cold. By the time he woke up he was cuffed with his hands behind his back and being taken away into a police car. The cop had just stood there with his mouth wide open in awe. “So you're telling me, that you saw he was getting away so you throw the ball from home plate to hit him straight in the head in centerfield.” the cop said He was talking to a 12 year old boy by the name of Michael Arroyo.
