Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville Kentucky. His parents had two kids. His brother’s name is Rahman Ali. Muhammad Ali was born and raised in Louisville Kentucky. He grew up in a poor neighborhood. He went to school at Central High in Louisville. His principal was Raymond Green. The school’s number was (502)-485-8226. His school was founded in 1870. His school’s motto was “Simply The Best”. He was always bullied in school as a child. At an early age he wasn’t afraid of anything. While he was growing up in segregation he experienced discrimination and racial accusations. Muhammad Ali discovered his talent at the age of twelve years old. He was sentenced for five years, and he had to pay a ten thousand dollars. He refused to induct into the armed forces. He said that he didn’t have any quarrel with the Vietcong. He was also banned from boxing for three years. He’s very judgemental and hard on himself if he doesn’t succeed in everything he does. When he won a gold medal he would throw it in the Ohio River because of the discrimination in his hometown. His real name was Marcellus Clay Jr. The only reason why he changed his name to Muhammad Ali is because he thought that his birth name was a slave name. He also changed his name because he converted to Islam. He was diagnosed with Parkinson in 1948 when he was 42 years old. His symptoms started showing up when he retired from boxing.
