There are many ways to create and maintain a climate of excellent customer service. Creating a positive work environment and having loyal customers are at the top of the list. A positive work environment can help ensure that your employees are taking care of. Creating customer loyalty is the ultimate goal of customer service (Timm, 2014). Loyalty enables a company to improve customer-driven service quality.
A positive work environment will help you get to most out of employees (Sussex, 2013). Employees who feel encouraged, accepted, and happy are more motivated and perform better. Some tips for creating a positive work environment are engaging in meaningful dialog, showing appreciation, listening to everyone's ideas, trusting your team members,

The first tip is to engage in meaningful dialog with employees; this establishes a position of caring that motivates individuals in all sorts of crazy- good ways. Be sure to ask employees about their immediate goals and interests as well as their career objectives. Showing appreciation is the next step. Not feeling appreciated is one the biggest complaints among employees. Showing appreciation lets your employees know they are doing well and detailed praises show that management is paying attention and not throwing around empty phrases. When employees feel appreciated, they want to rise to the occasion even more. The third step is to listen to every team members ideas. Make a policy to listen to new ideas; this will let your employees know they are a valuable part of the team. Trusting your team members is the fourth tip; this means to delegate and let employees own the task you gave them. Communicating trust can also be done by asking employees to make decisions on their part of projects. The fifth tip is to be spontaneous and have a little fun. A powerful way to send a message to a customer to thank them for doing business with your company is a handwritten note (Olson, 2017). Most companies do not send handwritten thank you notes because they do not realize the importance they have in building a relationship with a customer.
