This module 2, Elements of Organizations, has shown me the importance of successful group structure, accountability of roles within an organization and the necessity of successful communication. Organizations require proper leadership to be successful. This class pointed out the concepts for good management. “Core Responsibilities for Effective Managers,” Dan Bobinski, www.management-issues.com broke down the critical actions of employee perspective, understanding through listening, agreeable goals, and proper supportive feedback. I have been a supervisor in my past employment roles but so much of my leadership was instinctual. The idea of being an effective leader was not something I felt had steps. I now know going into future leadership positions, key functions. A manager is only as successful as their team and I want to always be at the top of my game. …show more content…
This class has reinforced the cultural needs of an organization. We need a purpose and a force behind our need. The differences in us are our strengths when we explore roles. I never want to feel that I have isolated myself and only spend time with people like me. The need for diversity is less of a cliché idea after taking this class. My wine group was an example for me in allowing different points of view. Wine is very subjective and I have had to be open to the idea that some members love box wines as much as others love high tier. You can not be successful at what you do if the different views are no nurtured. My vision statement for Diversify Your Wine is "Wine is truly defined by the people who love it." I know it sounds simplistic but it lets all current and future members feel comfortable with their wine choices for
