College Admissions Essay: Why I Attend College

I’m a current senior at Rancho Mirage High School. I will be the first in my family to earn my high school diploma, I will also be the first to attend college. My life has been a rollercoaster I have been through some tough times although I gained strength in return. Over the years I learned from my bad habits and transformed them into good habits. In school, I struggled with my academics a lot my junior year I hit rock bottom to the point I didn’t want to be in on earth anymore, however, I changed my mind and started thinking positive things I started doing the things to benefit myself to make me feel proud of who I am. Academics isn't something I am good at however I know it’s something that needs to be done. It’s hard for me to stay focus on something I am not interested in learning although when I understand a subject I become interested and my brain begs for more information. I know I am a determined student because when something needs to get done although I don’t enjoy I know it’s something I need to do for my own good. It makes things easier for me when I think of the of the benefit I will get for example when I enter work I complain but I know in the end it will be worth. That’s how I started to get stronger in my academics because now understand that school is really important and it’s a big part of my future. I took my junior year as a learning experience the beginning of my senior I was on behind 10 credits although I didn’t give up on earning my high school diploma. I have been turning in my work on time, I come to school every day, and I value what I have more. I regret not focusing on my education when I started high school although now I realize how much education really matters I have fixed my bad habits into good habits. I realize now that all my hard work will pay off one
