Throughout my entire academic journey, I have been through an abundance of ups and downs. Most of my academic success and triumphs began in high school. During elementary and middle school, my academic journey was very mediocre. During high school, I achieved many things such as placing first in the districts history fair, graduating with my A.A. degree in sociology, and being captain of my high school soccer team. I also faced some very devastating challenges involving myself and my family. I am excited to continue my education and see where life will take me.
The greatest accomplishment in my academic journey that I have obtained is, graduating with my Associates degree. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indian River State College. I started taking college classes as a Freshman in high school and pretty soon I was only taking college classes and one or two high school classes. As a player, I always listened, respected and took the advice of my coaches. As a teammate, I always tried helping any new players and old players in improving their skills and learning moves they never knew before. These were the qualities that I showed in order to be honored with the title of soccer captain.
My academic past was not always easy. My last year of high school was very difficult for me. During that year, I lost a lot of important people in my family and I fell into a slump. I had depression and had to miss many of my classes in order to help out my mother and father. I realized that I was very close to failing my classes and I realized I needed to get back on track. It was very hard to catch up on school work and I spent a lot of nights staying up doing make up work. Thankfully my professors were very understanding of my situation and helped me get back on my
