In order to enhance the learning of the children’s play and learning, observation is a starting point in learning about children itself, in term of what they know and what they are able to do (Morrison, 2011). Through the observation process, the teachers are able to collect the information about the children in unobtrusive ways which capture the child in their natural state of learning rather than through prescribed tests (Envy & Walters, 2013). Additionally, effective teachers observe and listen carefully to each child, assesses the learning and emotional needs of the individuals and tries hard to provide appropriate tasks and activities (Hayes, 2009).
