Based on my observation, I believe Mrs. Laura was the expertise and Mrs. Jan was the novice. Mrs. Laura was able to think in a larger, more meaningful pattern. When it came to teaching reading, Mrs. Laura was able to take the book and create different activities for the children to learn. She made it fun for the children to learn. When she created the different activities, she was able to target different goals such as spelling.…
Toddler years range from the age of one to three years old. This stage is exciting and sometimes can be challenging for adults that care for the toddler. Language and interpersonal skills develop fast during this stage, as well as, motor, cognitive, and physical development. A change for the toddler that is difficult is when they start to become more independent but they are also struggling with separation at the same time. Physical development continues to progress, noticeable change in height, weight and other physical appearances are big indicators of the toddler's health.…

Although the location of my study areas vary, I decided to choose the one where the majority of studying is done which is in my bedroom on the bed. The set up of the area will include surrounding myself with textbooks, two laptaps (one for note taking, the other for research), different colors pens, a notebook, snacks and of course my cell phone. While studying I normally have the television on but its muted. For the purpose of the reaction paper I thought it would be more accurate to have someone observe my actions.…
When your child wakes up, you will need to change his or her diaper. Tell the child to throw away the diaper him or herself. Do not put another diaper on your child. Observation: Rise Program Physical Setting Rise is a beautiful facility. All of the windows looking into the classrooms and looking outside are my favorite because they provide light, openness, and a sense of connection throughout the whole building. The commons is also a great area. It is large and open for all of the kids to spread out and explore their surroundings, while engaging in gross motor activities, such as going down a slide, riding a tricycle, or jumping on a trampoline.…

You never know how long it could be until a worker had been informed on the mess. Ew. Baby’s diapers are also left on tables with the feces in them for the whole place to smell. It may be out of the workers control whether the parents throw the diaper away or not, but the workers should be quick in getting the problem taken care of. Like many public places, the restroom is never the cleanest.…
Spending two and half hours in each classroom, I learned a great deal about early childhood education from ages birth through eight, and the effort and skills that it takes to create a stimulating learning environment. For my infant, toddler, and preschool observations, I spent my hours at the CCC Childcare Center located in our college while for my kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade observations, I spent my time at Casey Park Elementary School. During my observations at the CCC Childcare Center, I learned plenty about the methods and practices that go into early education before primary grades. The preschool classroom really stood out to me because the centers in the classroom were very open ended and filled with lots of manipulative for…
